Summary
This article tells how to motivate students on reading comprehension using web-based resources. the aim is to find the response of students using web-based resources in reading comprehension. in this article uses a qualitative method was employed through observations and focus group interviews.There were 145 students studying in this school and all of them were Malays. The study focuses on a Year 5 class. Thirty of them were selected as samples for classroom observations. There were thirty students in the class and they were of mixed abilities in terms of language. observation of data were collected using the observation forms.For the focus group interviews, fifteen students and is divided into three categori; good, average and poor based on their previous final exam English language result, each group consisting of 5 members. in the data has resopnses the interview topics of web -based texts; Responses towards the use of web-based texts as a medium in reading comprehension, responses towards the lessons, Responses towards the topics of web-based texts.The results show that students are motivated by the use of web-based resources in Reading Comprehension, and ESL teacher should make-use of such resources to teach reading skills of the student.
